CARES Act Relief Aid
The Department of Education has allocated approximately $12 billion for assistance to colleges and universities, as well as their students, who have been affected by COVID-19. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Financial Aid Department at (855) 212-6700 or email financialaid@csuglobal.edu.
Institutional Loans
Students may request that their Institutional Loan be placed into a temporary suspension status with UNISA and CSU Global, which will suspend payments and interest between April 1, 2020, and September 30, 2020. Students who reach out to either UNISA or to CSU Global will be directed to the Financial Aid Advising team to discuss their current situation. The student will then be directed to provide relevant documentation to support their suspension request as well to complete the FA - Institutional Loan Suspension Request Form. Students who are approved for a suspension will receive a suspension through September 30, 2020. This option will be offered to students with in-school payments and students who are out of school and in a standard repayment plan. Students must also provide proof from their HR department (or other official means) that the student has been furloughed, laid off, or otherwise had their standard work hours curtailed due to COVID-19. Documentation of a layoff or loss of job can include unemployment documentation from their local or state unemployment office.
