Terms and Conditions

WHO CAN ENTER

The Colorado State University Global Refer-A-Friend Program is open to current students, alumni, staff and faculty of CSU Global who reside within the United States or Canada.

HOW TO ENTER

Participants enroll in the referral program by completing the registration form . The current CSU Global student, alumni staff or faculty member (Referrer) must submit the completed referral form before the beginning of the referred student's (Referral) first term.

SOLICITATION STANDARDS

All methods used to solicit referrals uphold CSU Global values, policies, codes of ethics, and standards of professional conduct.

TOKEN GIFT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Some referrals may qualify the referrer to receive a token gift or be entered into a chance drawing for a token gift. Referrals must include a valid email and phone number and referred parties must be able to be contacted via one of those two methods. Please note that a referred student who does not elect to opt-in to communication will not be considered a referral for the purposes of this program.

Students who are currently taking classes, students who are registered to take classes, and students who have already been accepted to the university are not eligible to be referred.

The eligibility of a token gift is based on initial inquiry only and not related to application for admission or enrollment of the referral in any way. Referrers may be ineligible for the referral gift if the prospective student they refer meets any of the following criteria:

• The name of the prospective student is false (e.g. Mickey Mouse, Uncle Sam, etc.);
• The contact information is invalid;
• The prospective student does not opt-in to receive further communication after being referred;
• The prospective student did not request information about the university’s school;
• The prospective student hangs up on the university’s staff when they are initially contacted;
• The prospective student is on the university’s Do Not Contact list;
• The prospective student was incentivized to submit a request for information by methods including, but not limited to, false promises of grants or scholarships;
• The prospective student was seeking employment;
• The prospective student does not speak English;
• The prospective student must be 18 or older and have completed high school or high school equivalency;
• The prospective student is a duplicate of a student received through another source.

Token gifts of appreciation will be selected by CSU Global and have an approximate value of up to $50 each. The gift you receive is at the sole discretion of CSU Global based on item availability.

Referrals will be processed on a rolling basis as they are received. Referrers are not eligible to receive more than five gifts of appreciation in a calendar year.

GENERAL

CSU Global shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind that result from acceptance and/or use of any prize. Decisions of CSU Global are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure, and fulfillment in respect to the Refer-A-Friend program. CSU Global reserves the right at any time to withdraw the referral programs or to modify, amend, or supplement these rules, in its sole discretion. By participating in the referral programs, the selected entrant consents to the use by CSU Global of their name, city and state of residence, occupation, and affiliation with CSU Global for any lawful purpose, without further permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law. Selected entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Terms and Conditions, and understand that the decisions of CSU Global are final and non-negotiable.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

CSU Global does not sell, rent, or lease personally-identifiable student or employee information to outside vendors. Personal information provided to the university becomes property of the university and is stored and used for student service functions only, including provisions for directory information as defined by CSU Global and authorized by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act. However, the CSU Global website is a public domain and information contained therein may be seen and used by others. CSU Global reserves the right to alter these provisions at any time and without prior notice and any such changes will be posted to the CSU Global website in a timely manner.
