Sharp joined the Fort Morgan Colorado Police Department in 1994 and has held roles across the law enforcement spectrum—from school resource officer to lieutenant to Chief of Police. He always planned to complete his degree but put it off as he rose through the ranks at work and as his wife and children earned their degrees.
